The Chronicles of Unfortunate Customs: Part One

Normally, I watch a movie a day.

This is often a shock to people, however, it explains my intimate knowledge of movie trivia, and almost inhuman ability to quote various scripts, as displayed so prominently in my World Philosophies class (& other).

It's a relatively bad habit.

On Monday I watched one, Tuesday as well, Wednesday I watched another, Thursday was the same, Friday I watched one more. I watched four yesterday, and two today already.

I plan to watch one more, but then again...

A Tale of Two Cities.

I love the book, as it turns out. However, the inconceivable amount of work and brain power required to burn through the entire book just today has turned me off to the idea.

I've gotten halfway through Book the Second, can I watch Moonrise Kingdom now?

Impending Doom

It is the best of times, it is the worst of times.

Not so much because of the work, in fact, it's a little bit easier if you ask me.

But because of the sudden and clear lack of motivation. For everything.

93 days, including weekends and spring break, until graduation.

Unfortunately this lack of motivation is evident and very hard to recover from.

For example, in English we are (supposed to be) reading The Tale of Two Cities.

I. Hate. Dickens.

And apparently my hate has validated my refusal to participate. In my own mind, at least.

We've been given almost 3 weeks to read completely through Book Two. There's a test on it next Tuesday, first period.

Where am I, you ask?

Before you freak out, I'm only 464 pages behind. That's easily read on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Kind of.

I hope you're being more productive than I am.
